<description>Empty Network (2025)A meta-compositional framework for ensemble performance.
Unlike a fixed score, The Empty Network functions as a generative system: performers navigate modular states, shifting attention maps, and audio scores to construct form in real time. The work engages with ergodic form, where musical identity arises through recurrence, variation, and distributed decision-making rather than a predetermined sequence.

<description>The Strange Handshake (2015-2017)My band of autonomous improvisers in collaboration with Tom Weeks.
From the album release:
The promulgators of the Global-Post 9/11-Proto-Apocalyptic-Id-Based-Psycho-Socio-Sexual-Transcendental Avant Garde, The Strange Handshake, are BACK. This time the unit has pursued a joint venture with a true libertine of the alto saxophone, Tom Weeks. This crew is freshly adorned with accolades of the academy, and reaping all the benefits in a haze of bacchanal."You ever notice that empty, hollow feeling, right where your soul should be? The feeling you get when you've met someone that has quite possibly spent substantial time huffing cap gun smoke, sniffing piss, and skinning lizards? The feeling you get when you have the thought that your legs will just stop working as you're walking down the street? The feeling you get once you've met a person that doesn't possess a single ounce of irony? The feeling you get when you hear your friend screaming in the night, but it turns out you've been home alone the whole time? The feeling you get when you stumble out of bed, but are still under the influence of your endogenous entheogens? The feeling you get when you open your eyes from dreaming, but you can't move or breathe? Well this is a lot like that."-N.A. CorderThe Strange Handshake Meets Tom Weeks by The Strange Handshake

<description>Sine Study (2017)A transducer fixed to the back of a mirror drives a sine wave (from 0-20Hz) through a mirror, altering the mirror's image and physical stability. The mirror acts as the embodiment of both sources of sound and vision, collapsing the two modes of expression into a singularity. This event was captured using a stationary video camera placed in front of the mirror.

		<description>Appetite (2020)

“The less meaning there is to discourse, the closer it is
to power. Behind the mouth, the largest, all-swallowing mouth, there is nothing
but the immense noise of the ocean. Chaos, noise, disorder. The base of existence.
This parasite chases out all the others. Behind power, behind the ultimate
power, behind the universal appetite, in their vicinity, on their edge, noise
spills out into space. The bottom of the well is black; the back of the cave is
dark; the pure wave is bitter.”

 –Michelle Serres, The Parasite

		<description>(Improvisation)
While I personally do not find it very useful to distinguish music made via improvisational methods from pre-planned or through-composed composition, the examples given here are videos or recordings of music made in real-time by the ensembles or myself. I prefer to conceive of this kind of music as real-time composition. Improvisation is mereley a strategy to generate a certain kind of music. It’s not an aesthetic or philosophy, it’s just a tool.&#38;nbsp;Live in Berkeley by Corder Monaco Muntzmonopiece + Jaap Blonk by monopiece

<description>Flex States (2024)This electronic environment, and album, display/document various states of speed, resistance, viscosity, and recoil within a networked system– pushed and pulled through feedback processes, and navigated through listening. The limited set of "ensemble players" are propelled, flexed, warped, and spun, throughout performance. Causal connections between events become obscured, creating downstream iridescent emergent properties.
