Unlike a fixed score, The Empty Network functions as a generative system: performers navigate modular states, shifting attention maps, and audio scores to construct form in real time. The work engages with ergodic form, where musical identity arises through recurrence, variation, and distributed decision-making rather than a predetermined sequence.
